Inter Milan are edging closer to a new Serie A title after a dramatic 3–4 away victory against Como.
The side led by Cristian Chivu did not start as expected and found themselves two goals down early on. Alex Valle opened the scoring in the 36th minute, and just six minutes later Nico Paz doubled Como’s lead to make it 2–0.
However, Marcus Thuram sparked the comeback with a goal before halftime and then struck again in the 49th minute to level the score at 2–2.
Inter then took full control of the match. Denzel Dumfries scored twice in the 59th and 72nd minutes, turning the game around and giving the visitors a 2–4 advantage.
Late in the match, Como were awarded a penalty, which Lucas da Cunha converted to make it 3–4. The home side pushed for an equalizer through Moreno and Ramon, but failed to find the net.
In the end, Inter secured a crucial three points, taking a huge step toward defending their league title. The “Nerazzurri” now hold a nine-point lead over Napoli with six rounds remaining in the season.
